T&J Vestor was founded in 1921 in Golasecca (Varese), on the banks of the Ticino river. Initially named by the founder Piero Torrani and later T&J Vestor. The acronym T&J combines the initials of the two founding families, Torrani and Jelmini, with the Vestor trademark added afterwards. Over the following decades, due to the superior quality of its products, the company became the market leader initially in the field of clothing and then with household linen, especially bridal sets.
To fulfill the wishes of an increasingly demanding public, the lines produced under license in 1983 were joined by the Missoni brand: furnishing fabrics, linens, carpets and curtains. This was a further strategic step that allowed T&J Vestor to lead the way in the “lifestyle concept” approach alongside textile projects. Above all, it was a family matter: Rosita Missoni, born Jelmini, is the sister of Alberto and Giampiero Jelmini, at the helm of the company, together with the cousins Torrani.
